Partnering with USC for a conversation on building political power for women of color

We partnered with USC Dornsife’s Center for Leadership by Women of Color to co-host a conversation on building political power for women of color.

We were so honored to host this convening of amazing leaders to discuss how women of color can work together to increase representation in politics.

Aimee Allison joined us as our keynote speaker. Allison is the Founder and President of She the People, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to creating an America inspired by women of color.

Next, we hosted a panel discussion led by moderator, LA City Council President Nury Martinez. As part of our panel, we heard from four incredible women working to increase political power for women of color: Isel Cuapio, Patrice Marshall McKenzie, Diana Hwang, and Helen Iris Torres. We were blown away by this great conversation!

We are so grateful to have this fantastic lineup of speakers join us for such an important conversation that centers around the purpose of our work at Ready to Launch.

Thank you to our partners at USC for hosting this event on campus, which was also streamed via Zoom for our virtual audience. Check out the video below!
