We are Ready to Launch!

We are so excited to announce Ready to Launch ⁠— a new organization committed to growing and diversifying the entry-level pipeline in politics and public service for progressive, self-identifying women.

We believe politics should be inclusive, not exclusive. And we’re on a mission to grow the ranks of women staffers by breaking down barriers and helping more women launch their careers. It’s essential that those representing our communities in politics and government at all levels reflect our country's diversity, and that women of color and LGBTQ+ women have a seat at the table.

Our goal is for our participants to go on to rise the ranks to become campaign managers, chiefs of staff, and other senior-level political operatives.

We’re building partnerships with the incredible organizations leading efforts to get more women elected to office — and our work to expand women’s representation in the staff pipeline complements these efforts.

Starting a new endeavor during a pandemic isn’t easy ⁠— but there’s so much momentum behind this work and we’re ready to jump in. In just a few months, Ready to Launch has rapidly grown from an idea hatched by two friends on a video call to a full-fledged organization ready to make our mark.

We’ve seen firsthand the obstacles that can stand in the way for women getting their foot in the door, and over the years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to providing other women with support like mentorship, resume assistance, and connections to job and internship opportunities. Now, we’re turning that passion into our full-time hustle.

At Ready to Launch, we believe that progress depends on women. Our communities succeed when all women have the opportunity to make their voices heard in politics.
